SOME GENERAL HEAT TRANSFER EQUIPMENT(HTE)
There are many heat transfer equipment but some general heat transfer equipment are described below one by one.1-HEAT EXCHANGER (HE):
A Heat Exchanger is a device used to transfer heat between two or more fluids that or working in a system. Heat exchangers are used in both cooling and heating processes. Depending on the type of heat exchanger employed, the heat transferring process can be gas-gas, liquid-gas, or liquid-liquid and occur through a solid separator, which prevents mixing of the fluids, or direct fluid contact.
This is the very first type of heat transfer equipment.
In this general heat transfer equipment, there are many types of heat exchangers some of them are given below.
- Tube and Shell type heat exchanger
- Plate type heat exchangers
- Fin plate type heat exchanger
- Spiral type heat exchangers
- Waste heat recovery heat exchangers
- Shell and plate type heat exchanger
- Co-Current Flow
- Counter-current flow
- Cross Flow
- Hybrid Flow
2-BOILER:
An oil or gas operating heating boiler (energy producer) is like the engine of a vehicle especially a car, this provides the energy that it needs to heat itself up. The dimension of the boiler is almost the same as the dimensions of the facility. It is also a simple type of heat transfer which gives us heat by the application of a simple mechanism.
This is the second general heat transfer equipment, the boiler is a part of the global heating system. As described in '''Figure''', a heating mechanism has the following four main parts:
- Tank/heater arrangement (the mechanism dividing the heat)
- Tubing and propellers and controllers (the mechanism dividing the energy)
- Warmers and heaters (the mechanism giving the energy to the surroundings)
- Governor apparatus (the part controlling room and water temperature)
3-CONDENSER:
This is the third type of general heat transfer equipment.
Condensers are basically mechanism designed to used for freezing or cooling of working fluid by changing the phase of the working fluid in the system.
